Please mark your calendars for our 2016 County Convention on Thursday April 7th at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln NE.   Registration will begin at 6:00pm with the Convention to start precisely at 6:30pm.

This is the County Convention you don't want to miss.  Only Republicans that are registered delegates will be allowed as voting members.  We welcome all others as guests.  We suggest a donation of $20 or more to the LCGOP when you register to help with the expenses of the evening.

In order to become a registered delegate you must fill out and notarize the Republican Delegate Registration Form and get it to your County election Commissioner by March 1st.  By becoming a delegate you will be eligible to vote at the 2016 and 2017 Lancaster County Republican Conventions.

At our April 7th Convention we will be conducting our usual party business, hearing from Governor Pete Ricketts & Attorney General Doug Peterson, however the main event will be when we break down into legislative districts and caucus to elect delegates to the State Convention and members to the Republican State Central Committee, (the governing body of the NEGOP).  If you would like more information about what it means to be a 2016 Delegate please click HERE.

Only delegates that were duly elected as a delegate/alternate to the NEGOP State Convention are able to run as a delegate to the National Convention.  These individuals will also need to fill out the National Delegate Registration Form and have it to the NE Secretary of State's Office by May 2nd, 2016.

Also Nebraska's Republican delegate allocation is "winner-take all".  So this means that all of Nebraska's Delegates will be given to the winner of our Republican Primary on May 10th.  So please be aware of this when filling out your National Delegate Registration Form

It will be an exciting evening for sure.
Will you come?
