From Brayden's Campaign Kick-Off June 21st, 2016 Press Release

Brayden McLaughlin filed the paperwork and turned in the needed signatures to officially run for Lincoln City Council. McLaughlin, a lifelong Lincoln resident and the owner of a Lincoln urban planning and design firm will be running for an at-large seat in the 2017 Lincoln City Elections.

"I love this city and I know Lincoln's needs. As Lincoln grows it is vital that we maintain and upgrade our roads and infrastructure, improve public safety, and attract new businesses and quality jobs. We must also increase the accountability, effectiveness and transparency of the city government." commented McLaughlin."

"As Linconites we pay excessively high taxes, especially the wheel tax. These taxes hurt our working families and businesses, and I do not believe the citizens are getting the results they should expect for the taxes we pay."

McLaughlin heads Bridgewater Consulting, a Lincoln-based firm that offers urban planning and design services. Bridgewater Consulting recently designed the new Goodhue Monument in Lincoln’s Near South Neighborhood as well as several residential projects in and around the city. McLaughlin has served as a member of the Near South Neighborhood Association for the past three years and has volunteered for numerous organizations in the community. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
