A Resolution by the Lancaster Republican Party
to Thank and Congratulate Republican Lincoln City Council,
School Board, and Mayoral Candidates
September 17th, 2015
WHEREAS, on May 5th, 2015, the City of Lincoln had a vote to determine who would become the four district officials for the Lincoln City Council, three Lincoln Public School Board members, and the Mayor of Lincoln.
RESOLVED, that the Lancaster County Republican Party is very grateful to, Jon Camp, Cyndi Lamm, and Mairead Safranek for running for the Lincoln City Council. We are aware of the time and dedication that it takes to run a city council campaign and we appreciate and salute their desire to serve our city.
RESOLVED, that the Lancaster County Republican Party is very appreciative of Connie Duncan, Matt Schulte, and Rachel Terry, for taking a strong stand and running for the Lincoln School Board.
RESOLVED, that the Lancaster County Republican Party is thankful to Andy Stebbing for stepping up to the plate to run an important race against incumbent Mayor Chris Beutler. Andy Stebbing’s campaign provided key leadership for other candidates during the election, and helped refocus Mayor Beutler on the important issues that are facing Lincoln residents. We appreciate his energy and dedication evidenced during the campaign.
RESOLVED, the Lancaster County Republican Party also wishes to convey its congratulations to Cyndi Lamm (District 1), Jon Camp (District 2) for being elected to the Lincoln City Council on May 5, 2015. For the first time in 6 years the Republican Party has a majority on the Lincoln City Council.
RESOLVED, the Lancaster County Republican Party also wishes to convey its congratulations to Connie Duncan, (District 2) and Matt Schulte (District 6) for being elected into the Lincoln School Board.
SO THEREFORE, the Lancaster County Republican Party is encouraged about the prospects for conservatism in Lincoln, Nebraska.
